Resident
Engineer (Bridge) Site
Operations
Responsibilities:
- Act
as the Resident Engineer onsite providing technical leadership and
ensuring all aspects of the project are completed in accordance
with project plans specifications and safety
standards. - Oversee the contractors bridge
design team to ensure timely progress quality and alignment with
project requirements. - Coordinate closely with
AtkinsRalis internal design team to ensure designs are accurately
implemented and address any designrelated issues
onsite. - Monitor and supervise all construction
activities related to the bridge and infrastructure work ensuring
adherence to quality safety and compliance
standards. - Ensure that all work complies with
local regulations standards and the requirements set forth by AD
authorities. - Manage daily site operations
ensuring project milestones are met on time and within
budget. - Develop review and maintain
comprehensive site documentation including progress reports quality
control documentation and safety
records. - Enforce strict quality assurance and
control measures to maintain the highest standards of construction
onsite. - Manage site safety protocols ensuring
that all safety measures are observed and reporting any safety
concerns promptly. - Provide regular updates to
the client (Aldar) and project stakeholders on project progress
risks and issues. - Proactively identify and
resolve potential problems or delays providing technical solutions
and corrective actions as needed. - Manage the
flow of information between the contractor client and design teams
ensuring all parties are
wellinformed.
Qualifications:
- A
minimum of 20 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus
on
bridge. - Significant
experience in managing largescale infrastructure projects
particularly bridges with an emphasis on Site
supervision. - Proven experience
as a Resident Engineer with a strong track record of overseeing
site operations and managing contractors. - Solid
understanding of bridge design processes construction methodologies
and site management. - Experience in managing and
coordinating the contractors design team ensuring progress and
quality of deliverables. - Familiarity with local
regulations and requirements from AD authorities (Abu
Dhabi). - Strong background in construction site
supervision risk management quality control and safety
compliance. - Excellent leadership communication
and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage challenging
contractor relationships effectively. - Must have
worked on bridge
projects.
