Job summary

TRACTEBEL ENGINEERING S.A DUBAI BRANCH is seeking a senior site supervision professional to lead the construction supervision team on major civil rehabilitation projects in Dubai. You will ensure adherence to contract requirements, approve drawings and methods, and coordinate with authorities and stakeholders.

The role requires deep experience in structural rehabilitation, DM procedures, and project QA/QC, with a focus on safety and timely delivery across complex infrastructure works.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience.
• Thorough knowledge of rehabilitation works on structures such as dams.
• Experience as Resident Engineer or senior site supervision on major civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of DM requirements, contract administration, QA/QC, programme monitoring, quantity control, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction supervision team as the consultant’s senior site representative.
• Administer and supervise the Works in accordance with the Contract, approved drawings, specifications, DM requirements, and Engineer’s instructions.
• Manage technical supervision, contract administration, quality control, progress monitoring, HSE coordination, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and site records.
• Review and provide recommendations on Contractor submissions, including shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, test records, programme updates, claims, variations, and contractual notices.
• Coordinate with DM, authorities, service providers, the Contractor, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, resources, risks, quality, safety, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Ensure proper management of site instructions, NCRs, inspections, snagging, taking-over, handover, and close-out documentation.
• Assess and evaluate the time to complete emergency work, take on-the-spot decisions, and deal with all service authorities while dealing with emergency work.
• Liaise with DM and service authorities; ensure excavation and backfilling per RTA standards, safety requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent

from a recognized university.

• Minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience.

• Full knowledge of the rehabilitation works at

important structures such as Dams.

• Thorough knowledge and experience in dealing with

hydrology, open wadi channels, structural

rehabilitation works, installation of instruments for

monitoring the structural integrity and road

construction.

• Substantial experience as Resident Engineer or in

equivalent senior site supervision roles on major civil

infrastructure projects.

• Experience in structural rehabilitation, water-related

infrastructure, stormwater, drainage, roadworks,

utilities, instrumentation, or similar public

infrastructure works.

• Thorough knowledge and experience in designing

structure works.

• Strong knowledge of Dubai authority procedures,

DM requirements, contract administration, QA/QC,

programme monitoring, quantity control, reporting,

and stakeholder coordination.
