eMinds in the United Arab Emirates is hiring a Resident Engineer to oversee onsite SCADA delivery and lead hands-on platform deployment, configuration, integration, and L2 support for substation systems, IT hosting infrastructure, data center containers, OTN infrastructure, and control room technologies.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering/IT or related field.
• Minimum 7 years as a Resident Engineer.
• At least 5 years’ hands-on SCADA implementation/support.
• Strong IT infra and audiovisual systems troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and validate SCADA designs, deployment plans and configurations.
• Deploy and configure SCADA platforms and provide L2 support.
• Supervise onsite installation, testing and commissioning of SCADA/PLC/DCS.
• Review FDS, I/O lists, instrument indexes and system docs.
• Support IT hosting infra, DC containers, and DCIM deployments.
• Coordinate OTN and substation infra configuration/integration.
• Integrate control room AV, video walls and weather systems.
• Assist with cybersecurity, including firewall/antivirus services.
• Prepare material receipts/inspection docs; coordinate approvals/HSE.
• Oversee daily site activity and align partner teams with milestones.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Resident Engineer to oversee onsite SCADA delivery and carry out hands-on platform deployment, configuration, integration, and Level 2 (L2) support. The role covers substation systems, IT hosting infrastructure, data center containers, Optical Transport Network (OTN) infrastructure, and control room technologies. You will coordinate with the client and delivery partners to keep site work on schedule and ensure the integrated solution meets project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate SCADA designs, deployment plans, and platform configurations. Verify that the integrated technical solution meets project requirements.
• Deploy and configure SCADA platforms and provide L2 troubleshooting and support.
• Supervise onsite installation, testing, and commissioning of SCADA, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment.
• Review and validate I/O lists, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), instrument indexes, and system architecture documents.
• Support the deployment of IT hosting infrastructure, data center containers, outside plant cabling, and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solutions.
• Coordinate the configuration and integration of OTN and substation infrastructure.
• Coordinate the integration of control room audiovisual systems, video walls, technical furniture, and weather station systems.
• Assist with cybersecurity implementation, including firewall and antivirus services.
• Prepare documentation for material receipt, inspection, and installation. Coordinate client approvals and permits, and ensure site activities comply with client and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements.
• Oversee daily site activities and coordinate partner teams to meet project milestones.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience as a Resident Engineer.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience implementing and supporting SCADA platforms.
• Strong technical skills in IT infrastructure and audiovisual systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to coordinate onsite work across multiple technical teams.
