A key client in Food & Beverage is looking for an experienced R&D Manager with a strong background in Food Technology , specifically in the development of condiments and related products (e.g., sauces, dressings, marinades, and dips).

Job Purpose :

To lead the research, formulation, and development of new and improved condiment products (e.g., sauces, dressings, dips, pickles, chutneys), ensuring innovation, quality, scalability, and compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage end-to-end product development projects in the condiments category, from concept to commercialization.
  • Formulate and improve products to meet sensory expectations, shelf-life requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Marketing, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Manage pilot trials, production scale-ups, and product launches in coordination with manufacturing teams.
  • Evaluate new ingredients, technologies, and processes to enhance product performance and competitiveness.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, test results, and development reports.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations, shelf-life testing, and consumer trials as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to local and international food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FDA, GSO).
  • Mentor and guide junior R&D staff and contribute to building a high-performance innovation culture.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor products to identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation.
