ADNOC Global Trading LTD "AT" is looking for an ambitious and motivated Research & Analytics Specialist (Quantitativeanalysis)to join its Research and Analytics team in Abu Dhabi.

We are ADNOC’s trading company focused on the trade of Crude Oil and LNG as well as other ADNOC products.

ADNOC Trading was established in 2020, as a 100% ADNOC Group owned subsidiary, and we operate as an active market participant to trade non-system crudes and LNG.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Research & Analytics Specialist will be responsible for supporting research, analytics and reporting for ADNOC Trading (AT) Management, providing analysis and insights to help AT management understand performance and make better informed decisions. The role involves regular and ad-hoc tasks and interpretation of data to identify performance trends and anticipate issues and opportunities.

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Gas Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of gas market fundamentals, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, infrastructure developments, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify key drivers and market risks to support trading strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Quantitative Modeling: Develop and maintain quantitative models to forecast gas supply and demand, price movements, and market trends.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and data analysis tools to enhance accuracy and reliability of models.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate models into trading systems.
  • Options Pricing: Develop and design from data preparation to the build & implementation, validation and calibration of derivatives pricing models.
  • Theoretical development of appropriate pricing formulas of each derivative traded and documentation of the methodology.
  • Data Management: Collect, organize, and validate gas market data from various sources. Ensure data integrity and accuracy for use in quantitative models and analysis.
  • Identify and implement improvements to data collection and management processes.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong academic background in financial mathematics.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, data analysis skills, and programming skills.
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis and modeling techniques, including statistical analysis, stochastic calculus, options theory, time series forecasting, and optimization.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of energy markets and trading operations is a plus.
