Job Description
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Vendor Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors. Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable pricing and delivery schedules. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure quality and timely service.
- Procurement Process: Develop and implement procurement strategies for fitout projects. Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs). Analyze bids and proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of procurement budgets for fitout projects. Monitor and track expenditures to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and delivery schedules. Prepare reports on procurement status, costs, and supplier performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and designers to understand project requirements and timelines. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement aligns with project goals.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all procured materials and services meet quality standards and project specifications. Conduct site visits to inspect materials and work performed by subcontractors.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational policies and procedures related to procurement. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and supplier capabilities.
- Problem Solving: Address procurement-related issues that arise during fitout projects, such as delays or quality concerns. Proactively seek solutions to improve the procurement process.
