Renewables Sales Director - C&I and Utility

Location: Dubai, (Hybrid)

Role type: Permanent

About the Role:

I am looking for a Director to lead a brand new business unit focused on securing orders for utility and C&I scale solar and BESS projects across the MEA.

The role will require a deep understanding of the regional solar and BESS markets, strong relationships with key decision makers across the industry, and a proven track record of securing tenders from EPCs ,Developers and Utility companies across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, develop, and secure, utility-scale and commercial tenders/projects.
  • Project Acquisition: Lead the entire project acquisition process, from initial prospecting to contract negotiation and financial closure.
  • Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team of project managers, engineers, and financial analysts.
  • Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including developers, EPC contractors, and utility companies.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and trends.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record in securing and executing tenders for large-scale solar or BESS projects in the Middle East.
  • Deep understanding of the regional solar energy market, including regulatory frameworks, financing mechanisms, and key players.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Flexible to travel regularly across the MEA region.
