Job summary

A to Z Furniture is seeking an experienced WordPress & WooCommerce Theme Developer to build, customize, optimize, and maintain fast, responsive e-commerce sites. You will convert designs into high-quality WordPress pages, customize WooCommerce components, and ensure performance and SEO best practices.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on WordPress/WooCommerce experience, strong PHP/MySQL knowledge, and proficiency with modern front-end tech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on WordPress and WooCommerce development experience.
• Strong knowledge of custom WordPress theme development.
• Experience with WooCommerce customization.
• Excellent knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Understanding of WordPress theme architecture, hooks, filters, and templates.
• Experience with REST APIs and AJAX.
• Knowledge of Git and version control.
• Experience optimizing images, scripts, stylesheets, caching, databases, and server performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress and WooCommerce themes from scratch or customize existing themes.
• Convert designs (Figma, XD, PSD) into responsive WordPress pages.
• Customize WooCommerce: shop, category, product, cart, checkout, account, wishlist pages.
• Build responsive layouts using Bootstrap 5, HTML5, CSS3, JS, and jQuery.
• Implement product variations (size, color, material, finish, etc.).
• Create features like color swatches, image galleries, quick view, related products, and recommendations.
• Develop AJAX-based search, filtering, sorting, mini-cart, and side-cart.
• Integrate payment gateways, shipping, WhatsApp, emails, and third-party APIs.
• Maintain Google Merchant Center feeds and Meta product catalogs.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile performance.
