Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create reusable sections/blocks using Online Store 2.0 architecture.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Theme Developer to design, develop, customize, and maintain professional, fast, responsive, and conversion-focused Shopify e-commerce stores.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience with Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Shopify Online Store 2.0, responsive design, and Shopify theme architecture.

You will work closely with our management, design, marketing, and e-commerce teams to develop and continuously improve our online store, with a strong focus on user experience, website performance, product presentation, SEO, and conversions.

Experience with furniture, home décor, interiors, retail, or other product‑based e‑commerce stores will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom Shopify themes from scratch or customize existing Shopify themes.
• Convert Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or reference designs into accurate, responsive Shopify pages.

• Develop custom product features including color swatches, size selectors, material selectors, image galleries, quick‑view features, related products, and product recommendations.
• Develop furniture‑specific product presentation and customization functionality where required.
• Integrate and customize Shopify apps and third‑party services.
• Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, image loading, code efficiency, and overall Shopify theme performance.
• Ensure websites are fully responsive and optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Follow Shopify and technical SEO best practices, including semantic HTML, heading structure, schema markup, clean URLs, metadata, internal linking, and image optimization.
• Troubleshoot and fix Shopify theme, layout, JavaScript, app integration, responsive design, and performance issues.
• Test all website features across major browsers and devices before deployment.
• Use Git/version control for maintaining and managing development work.
• Provide ongoing Shopify theme maintenance, improvements, updates, and technical support.
• Document custom features and functionality so they can be easily managed by non‑technical team members.

Required Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Shopify Markets, multi‑currency, and multilingual stores.
• Experience with Shopify Functions, Storefront API, Admin API, or custom app development.
• Understanding of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and conversion tracking.
• Basic understanding of UX/UI design and conversion‑rate optimization.
• Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar development workflows.
• Experience optimizing Shopify stores for high product volumes and large catalogs.
