Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Fashion Designer to contribute to the development of original apparel concepts from initial research through design presentation and refinement. The role blends creativity with practical understanding of materials, silhouettes, trends, and customer preferences.

You will collaborate with product, sourcing, marketing, and other creative professionals in a fully remote, part-time environment, with flexible hours and opportunities to contribute to international fashion concepts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Fashion Design is preferred.
• 3+ years of professional fashion design experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of garments, fabrics, silhouettes and trends.
• Knowledge of fashion trends and consumer preferences.
• Experience with design specs, sampling, and production processes.
• Proficiency with fashion design software (e.g., Illustrator, CAD).
• Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate market insights into commercially relevant designs.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop original fashion concepts aligned with brand direction and audiences.
• Research seasonal trends, colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and market influences.
• Create sketches, mood boards, design concepts, and visual presentations.
• Develop and refine apparel designs based on objectives.
• Select fabrics, trims, colors, and finishes.
• Coordinate with product development, sourcing, production, and marketing.
• Review samples and provide design feedback to improve fit and quality.
• Maintain design specifications and collection documentation.
• Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
• Contribute ideas to collection planning and brand direction.
