Job summary

Simera is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records in a remote-capable environment. You will assist with transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and general accounting activities, collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial data.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong numerical skills, and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable is a plus.
• Familiarity with month-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare, review, and process invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts.
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
