Job summary

Supabase is seeking an expert TypeScript developer to build and evolve JS/TS SDKs for the Postgres development platform. You will triage inbound issues, review external contributions, and ensure SDKs provide precise autocomplete and type inference across Node, Deno, Bun, browsers, and Cloudflare Workers.

Design public RFCs, migration guides, and release notes, maintain robust tests, and write clear async documentation.

Qualifications

• Expert-level TypeScript (generics, conditional, and mapped types).
• Experience authoring or maintaining a published library with a public API.
• Experience with open-source project maintenance and issue triage.
• Fluency in npm packaging (dual ESM/CJS, export maps, type resolution).
• Strong testing habits (unit, type-level, and end-to-end).
• Excellent written communication for async, public-facing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve JS/TS SDKs.
• Triage inbound issues and review outside contributions in public repositories.
• Maintain type experience, ensuring correct autocomplete and inference.
• Support multiple runtimes including Node, Deno, Bun, browsers, and Cloudflare Workers.
• Work on realtime features including WebSocket connections and subscription semantics.
• Design public RFCs, migration guides, and release notes.
• Ensure SDKs are legible to AI coding agents.
