Job summary

Paymentology is recruiting a Service Design & Transition Specialist to ensure new or changed services enter production with full operational readiness. You will bridge build and run, owning governance and execution to enable scalable, reliable services across engineering, product, operations and client delivery.

We value deep ITIL knowledge, strong cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on experience with Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, and Datadog to reduce MTTA and improve alert

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in service design, transition or production operations in high-velocity tech or fintech environments.
• ITIL principles knowledge; ITIL certification preferred.
• Hands-on with service management tooling and observability platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the service transition framework with readiness gates and go-live processes.
• Define operational acceptance criteria across monitoring, support models, SLAs and escalation paths.
• Lead event management design for new services, owning alerting and incident detection capabilities.
• Govern early life support and hypercare phases, tracking service performance metrics post-go-live.
• Maintain service catalogs, boundaries, and high-quality documentation through transitions.
• Coordinate readiness sessions to align responsibilities across Engineering, SRE, Product, Support and Client Operations.
• Conduct post-transition reviews and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
