Job summary

Sporty, a remote-first company focused on sustainability, seeks a seasoned QA leader to guide a distributed testing team toward launch readiness. You will champion testing strategies, oversee test automation across Web, Mobile, and API layers, and ensure high-quality releases through rigorous reviews and coordinated CI processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software testing.
• 4+ years in a relevant role.
• 2+ years in a leadership role including mentoring and performance reviews.
• Solid understanding of unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, stress, and API testing.
• Experience with Web, Android, iOS, and API manual testing.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience with web debugging and API testing tools like Chrome DevTools and Postman.
• Experience with automation for mobile (Android/iOS) and web (Selenium/Playwright).
• Working knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL.
• Experience developing and running a Continuous Integration system.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a development team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure best practices in software development.
• Drive the testing lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Conduct regular code reviews and manage team performance and career development.
• Track and record product issues and analyze problems through various tools.
• Write test plans, test cases, and output test reports.
• Create automated Web, Mobile, and API test cases.
• Develop automated tests and test frameworks.
• Improve Continuous Integration pipelines and automate software engineering processes.
