Job summary

RELQ TECHNOLOGIES LLC is seeking a QA Engineer (Manual Automation) for a 6-month remote contract. The role emphasizes automation using Selenium and Java alongside manual testing, with Jira for defect tracking and Agile delivery.

You will design and execute comprehensive test plans across web and API layers, integrate tests into CI/CD, and contribute to test documentation. Excellent communication and SDLC understanding are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 years of hands-on QA experience with automation using Selenium and Java and manual testing.
• Proficiency in writing and executing manual test cases.
• Solid experience with JIRA for defect tracking and Agile project management.
• Experience in test automation frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and CI/CD integration.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC processes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java.
• Execute functional, regression, integration and system testing (manual and automated).
• Analyze requirements and create detailed test cases and test plans.
• Log, track and manage defects using JIRA and collaborate with development for resolution.
• Develop and execute API test scripts using Postman or REST Assured.
• Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Contribute to test documentation including strategy and summary reports.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and review meetings.
