Job summary

Sarwa is expanding its backend engineering team to build and scale the platform that helps thousands of clients manage their financial lives. You will flesh out APIs, data pipelines, and integrate with third-party services, while maintaining clean code and robust architecture.

The role emphasizes production-grade backend systems, microservices, and strong collaboration across product, tech, and operations. A remote-friendly setup with an Abu Dhabi office is available.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python/Go in production systems with a sizable user base or high data volume.
• Strong problem-solving skills to build scalable, maintainable systems.
• Foundations in backend architectures covering databases, APIs, caching and security.

Responsibilities

• Be on the front line in solving the most pressing technical challenges we face.
• Develop and maintain a microservice architecture spanning Investing, Trading, Account Management, Funding.
• Create services that scale to tens of thousands of clients.
• Own and deliver software projects on time by coordinating with product/tech/marketing/ops/sales.
• Create high-quality products with robust architecture and algorithms, ensuring data consistency at scale.
• Test code with automated unit/integration tests.
• Build tools to accelerate development and support production services.
• Continuously learn and apply new practices and share learnings with the team.
