Job summary

Remotedxb seeks a Senior DevOps & Systems Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team of engineers, including Tech and Team Leads, and to drive hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.

You will own the infrastructure backlog and roadmap, improve CI/CD, release flow, change management, and contribute to architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance while promoting IaC, GitOps, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Experience managing engineering teams through Tech/Team Leads (4–6+ reports).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Understanding of observability and incident management practices.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) in engineering workflows.
• English proficiency level B1+ or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of DevOps and Systems Engineers, including Tech/Team Leads.
• Hire, onboard, develop, and retain engineers while conducting performance reviews.
• Own and prioritize the infrastructure backlog and roadmap.
• Improve engineering and operational processes including CI/CD, release flow, and change management.
• Contribute to architectural decisions focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Promote best practices such as IaC, GitOps, and observability.
• Own incident management processes, postmortems, and system resilience.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and resource utilization.
