Jobgether in United Arab Emirates is seeking a Software Engineer (Edge – Networking & Fleet) to build scalable edge data systems and fleet infrastructure. You will work across distributed control planes, data planes, networking services, and fleet management capabilities for thousands of devices, spanning Windows, Android, and Linux.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and partner teams to tackle complex distributed-systems challenges, define SLOs, build observability, and contribute

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Rust experience, building and operating production services.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts including consistency and backpressure.
• Deep networking knowledge: TCP, TLS, HTTP, handshakes, and packet behavior.
• Practical experience with gRPC and long-lived connections across NAT/unreliable networks.

Responsibilities

• Scale the data plane by evolving the fetch scheduler to handle 50–100 million requests/day.
• Build Fleet Manager control plane with adapters, inventory/health management, and rollout controls.
• Develop provider integrations for onboarding new device sources via standardized workflows.
• Own and improve the CONNECT proxy gateway and edge session management.
• Engineer secure networking between services and residential peers using mTLS, gRPC, long-polling.
