Job summary

UASI is a fully remote CDI consulting firm focused on improving accuracy and quality of clinical documentation. The role targets registered nurses with CDI experience to enhance coding accuracy and reimbursement.

Ideal candidates will be proficient with ICD-10-CM, MS-DRGs, and coding guidelines, and be comfortable with MS Office, VPNs, and video conferencing tools. Remote capacity aligns with the company’s mission to deliver expert CDI services.

Qualifications

• RN certification required.
• 2 years CDI experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, MS-DRGs, coding guidelines and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office, email, VPNs, virtual machines, two-factor authentication, and video conferencing tools.
• Experience with 3M and Epic preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate medical record documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and coding professionals to ensure appropriate clinical documentation.
• Identify opportunities for documentation improvement to support coding accuracy, reimbursement, and clinical outcomes.
• Analyze medical records to ensure documentation supports quality care and appropriate reimbursement.
• Formulate compliant, clinically sound physician queries.
