The APAC BD LEAD is a key role within our Korea growth team, with potential for expansion. This dynamic position involves engaging with all aspects of the organization, including events, community engagement, partner relations, and market expansion.
The primary responsibility is to build, nurture, and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, initially focusing on Korea and Japan, then expanding to other Asian markets, aligned with our growth strategy.
Reporting To: Head of BD and Head of Marketing & Community
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Business Development
- Develop and execute a quarterly business development strategy for Asia.
- Secure at least 3 new partnerships with development teams per quarter.
- Onboard 2 dapps in key regions each quarter.
- Partner Relations & Coordination
- Establish a partner relationship management system.
- Conduct bi-weekly check-ins with partners.
- Organize quarterly regional partner summits to foster collaboration.
- Market Development
- Launch Flare's presence in 2 new Asian markets annually.
- Identify and partner with key onramps, wallets, and exchange partners in each new market.
- Achieve a 30% increase in user adoption in Korea and Japan within a year.
- Represent Flare at a minimum of 6 major industry events annually.
- Organize 2 Flare-hosted events in Asia per year.
- Lead the identification and planning of key industry events in Asia, representing the company and ensuring seamless logistics. Manage events and community teams for maximum impact.
- Public Relations & Marketing
- Collaborate with marketing to strategize and execute PR and KOL campaigns.
- Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, coordinating interviews, press releases, and marketing activities.
- Increase Flare's share of voice in Asian crypto media by 20% annually.
- Community Relations
- Work with community managers to nurture relationships with retail and developer communities.
- Expand the regional community management team by 3 within 6 months.
- Recruit and train 20 regional retail ambassadors within the first 4 months, followed by developer ambassadors.
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, partner relations, and market development.
- Strong network within the blockchain and crypto ecosystem in targeted regions like Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing and community teams.
- Understanding of the degen community and its dynamics.
- Proactive, strategic, and growth-oriented mindset.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability for international markets.
Job Location: Remote (with bi-annual team meetings in various locations).
