Job summary

Deel is hiring a Data Analytics Engineer to design and manage data models and end-to-end data pipelines across the analytics stack. You’ll transform data with SQL, dbt, and Python, ensure data quality, and collaborate with analysts to maintain consistent definitions. The role emphasizes dashboarding in Looker/Tableau and scalable data practices.

You’ll work in a flexible, remote-friendly environment, contributing to a global platform with complex workflows and strong data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics).
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar data analytics engineering or BI development role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling tools such as dbt and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
• Basic programming skills in Python for data processing and automation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple data projects, troubleshoot data issues, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models (e.g., in dbt) aligned with data architecture and business requirements.
• Manage data pipelines end-to-end from extraction to transformation and loading for timely analyses.
• Utilize complex SQL queries and macros to transform data and optimize performance.
• Incorporate data quality checks and cleansing to ensure datasets are reliable.
• Work with data analysts and analytics engineers to ensure consistency in metrics and definitions.
• Occasionally lead portions of meetings or share improvements to analytics workflows.
