Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Service24 Technical Support Representative to deliver 24/7 technical assistance to customers worldwide. The role focuses on fault diagnostics, remote support, and coordinating with Field Service Engineers to resolve post-sales issues.

The position is home-based with rotating on-call duties, with travel for meetings and training as needed. A engineering degree and extensive field service experience are required, alongside strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year university.
• 10+ years field service experience.
• 1–3+ years experience supporting customers.
• Experience in Field Service, Service Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, or Technical Support environments.
• Experience with generators, motors, switchgear, or power generation equipment.
• Experience providing remote technical support to industrial customers.
• Previous participation in an on-call support environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis and provide 24-hour remote/onsite call-out support.
• Interpret specifications and technical requirements.
• Represent the company in customer technical meetings.
• Train customers’ personnel, subcontractors, and service staff.
• Own resolution of post-sales technical customer issues.
• Coordinate with Field Service Engineers and internal teams to assist customers.
• Work cross-functionally to support internal and external customers.
