What Does a Relationship Officer in Commercial Banking Do?
- Manage a portfolio of 700-800 non-borrowing commercial clients
- Achieve monthly and annual KPIs including revenue generation, product cross-sell, and activation targets
- Deepen customer relationships through needs-based selling and cross-selling of products such as accounts, loans, trade solutions, FX, and bancassurance
- Ensure an exceptional onboarding experience with proper documentation and timely KYC updates
- Refer eligible clients to specialized units for upselling or loan conversions
- Monitor client account performance, ensuring compliance and adherence to bank policies
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Generate referrals through existing clients and proactive market penetration
- Maintain accurate and timely sales reports
- Ensure customers receive transparent information and appropriate financial advice
- Monitor account activity and report irregularities
- Attend assigned training sessions to remain updated on FAB's evolving offerings
- Understand competition landscape and contribute ideas for product/process improvement
- Follow compliance and audit policies to maintain high standards and risk control
- Support client retention and relationship management efforts
What Skills Are Needed for a Relationship Officer in Dubai?
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Experience: 1-2 years in a banking role with a focus on customer service or direct sales; experience in commercial banking is an advantage
Skills: Fluent in both English and Arabic; strong client engagement and interpersonal communication; ability to manage customer portfolios and deliver tailored financial solutions; awareness of compliance requirements, onboarding regulations, and risk control measures; results-driven with a focus on targets and growth opportunities
