Job description

Role: Relationship Manager - Priority Banking

Location: Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

To attract, deepen, grow and manage financial relationships with affluent clients, using a full range of banking products and tools, utilizing a team-based approach to provide complete solutions to clients’ financial needs.

Key Accountabilities of the Role:

Client/ Business Acquisition:

  1. Generating new business via marketing activities, gold center contacts, and existing network.
  2. Increasing team revenue and productivity by cross-selling and up-selling.
  3. Acquiring new to bank customers.
  4. Identifying new potential expansion locations.
  5. Converting inbound and outbound leads to sales.
  6. Building a strong trust relationship with key customers.
  7. Maintaining a loyal pool of customers/alliances who refer potential customers.

Channels Cooperation:

  1. Making referrals to other channels based on identified customer needs.
  2. Smoothly implementing Priority Banking services across surrounding branches.

Management of Service Delivery:

  1. Monitoring service levels for customer satisfaction.
  2. Customer retention efforts with personal involvement in complaint resolution, account closures, and inquiries.
  3. Getting ad-hoc customer feedback.

Control and Risk Mitigation:

  1. Carrying out the function(s) of promoting financial products.
  2. Collection of the required information and data.
  3. Evaluation of clients’ ability and appetite to handle risks (Risk Profile) and the detailed functions associated therewith.
  4. Reviewing credit applications.
  5. Adhering to laid out processes and procedures.
  6. Ensuring appropriate and adequate documentation.
  7. Identifying trends of errors and proactively advising process improvements.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this Role:

  1. University degree or a recognized professional certificate.
  2. Experience of no less than five years in the area of financial analysis, financial markets, investment, wealth management, or financial planning.
  3. Detailed knowledge of ADIB’s Retail Banking products & services.
  4. Experience in sales, product development or wealth advisory to priority banking customers/ retail HNIs.
  5. Broad knowledge of ADIB’s Retail Credit & Operational Policies & Procedures.
  6. Specific knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations & risks.
  7. UAE Financial Rules & Regulations Certification.
  8. International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management (Level 3).
  9. Good knowledge of competitors in the local market.
  10. Must have led a team of professionals.
  11. Detailed knowledge of service standards.
  12. Training & Presentation skills.
  13. Computer Skills.
