Job description

Relationship Manager - Corporate Banking

Job Purpose:
The role involves acquiring, managing, and developing commercial and corporate relationships (funded and non-funded). Focus on increasing profitability, improving credit quality, managing existing and new portfolios, conducting due diligence, investigations, and assessing credit risks to ensure risks and processes align with SIB standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Increase new relationships with high standards of customer service and delivery.
  2. Achieve annual targets for assets & liabilities, including new relationships.
  3. Provide accurate analysis of customer requests.
  4. Prepare an annual target list in consultation with the HOD.
  5. Maintain high standards of ethics and integrity with customers and colleagues.
  6. Follow up and monitor accounts to prevent downgrades and delinquencies.
  7. Achieve portfolio profitability through limit utilization, fees, commissions, and ancillary business.
  8. Maintain a diversified portfolio and avoid concentration.
  9. Visit clients' premises at least quarterly.
  10. Ensure compliance with bank policies and Sharia requirements.
  11. Identify cross-selling opportunities.
  12. Perform any other duties assigned by the HOD.
  13. Collect all security documents.
  14. Ensure compliance with consumer protection standards, including fair treatment, providing accurate information, prompt responses, data protection, and reporting suspicious activities.
  15. Demonstrate understanding of Consumer Protection Regulations, adhere to fair treatment standards, and continually improve knowledge and practices.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in risk management, especially in managing problematic loans.
  • Knowledge of banking theory, practice, and Central Bank regulations.
  • Ability to conduct market surveys and interpret results.
  • Assessment skills for credit proposals.
  • Knowledge of trade finance processes and transactions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Financial & Banking Science or Financial Management.
  • At least 6-7 years of banking experience in corporate banking relationships.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, T24 software, and other relevant systems.
