What Does a Relationship Manager Do?

As a Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial clients. Your role is to deliver tailored banking solutions, drive revenue growth, maintain compliance, and ensure high service quality that reflects FAB s values.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Originate and develop business opportunities across borrowing and non-borrowing clients
- Build long-term relationships and ensure client satisfaction across all touchpoints
- Achieve revenue and portfolio targets by cross-selling products and deepening Share of Wallet
- Lead credit proposal preparation and support onboarding of new borrowing clients
- Monitor credit compliance, customer documentation, and regulatory requirements
- Resolve escalated customer service issues and ensure turnaround time commitments are met
- Maintain an active sales pipeline with complete and accurate client information
- Engage directly with senior client stakeholders such as CFOs and CEOs to understand holistic banking needs
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Credit, Operations, and Product to deliver seamless service
What Skills Are Needed for a Relationship Manager Role in Abu Dhabi?
Education:

- Bachelor s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years experience in corporate, commercial, or business banking
- At least 3 years in a similar role managing borrowing clients
