Manage a set of existing Small Enterprise (SE) relationships and originate new SE relationships in business communities around branch locations. To achieve assigned financial and non-financial objectives by meeting all borrowing and non-borrowing needs of customers within target segments (viz. borrowers, transactors, depositors). Actively source new-to-bank customers and generate new business leads from walk-in customers. Manage all customers focusing on relationship management and up-selling/deep-selling/cross-selling other bank products. Seamlessly take over new relationships originated by DS and relationships downgraded by ME team using defined customer onboarding procedures. Constantly identify opportunities to upgrade customers to ME category by understanding customer needs and profiling. Responsible for the quality and soundness of the assigned SE portfolio, including KYC reviews, monitoring for due diligence, anti-money laundering procedures, etc.
Responsibilities
- Improve share of wallet and aim to be the primary bank for each relationship in the assigned portfolio. Enhance relationship revenue from existing portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing accounts through cross-selling the full range of banking products.
- Assume complete ownership of customer relationship management for the assigned portfolio. Provide superior customer service.
- Conduct annual or periodic credit facility reviews in a timely manner and recommend appropriate credit facilities in line with the bank’s credit policy to maximize earnings while managing risks. Identify candidates for downgrades or upgrades.
- Follow-up and monitor relationships to ensure satisfactory account conduct and early rectification of credit issues.
- Implement and maintain control measures such as documentation, client visits, call reports, stock inspections, and credit checks to monitor the portfolio effectively.
- Identify NTB (New To Bank) opportunities in the market.
- Coordinate with internal and external advisors to ensure clarity of agreements.
- Develop the professional skills of SSO team members to prepare them for higher responsibilities.
- Collaborate with superiors and internal units like Risk Management to achieve business objectives.
- Achieve assigned financial and non-financial targets.
- Comply with all relevant policies regarding KYC, AML, etc., as mandated by the bank.
- Provide regular updates to branch and regional SE managers for better sales and relationship management controls.
- Regularly upgrade existing SE customers to ME segment by offering need-based solutions tailored to client profiles and requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in banking sales and service with proven relationship management skills.
- Advanced vocational knowledge in areas such as Credit, Trade, Operating systems, Legal, etc.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Minimum of 4+ years relevant banking experience in local or international markets.
- MBA/CA or relevant experience if a graduate.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team player qualities.
