Our client is a rapidly growing FinTech company based in Abu Dhabi, offering innovative receivables-backed financing solutions to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Backed by a prominent investment group, they leverage a proprietary digital platform to help vendors and suppliers unlock working capital quickly and efficiently. They are now seeking a driven and experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to lead their SME financing expansion efforts.
Role Overview
This is a key commercial role focused on driving new business acquisition and expanding the company’s presence within the UAE’s SME sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background in SME lending or financial services, a robust local network, and a passion for enabling business growth through alternative finance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the client portfolio within the SME sector. Lead generation, structured outreach, and sales pipeline conversion will be core components of the role.
• Client Acquisition & Market Expansion:
Identify potential SME clients and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations. Drive end-to-end client engagement including negotiation and onboarding.
• Relationship Development:
Leverage existing SME networks and build new partnerships by positioning the company’s solutions as high-impact cash flow enablers.
• Collaboration & Internal Alignment:
Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations teams to align business development activities with overall company goals.
• Performance Management:
Monitor key sales metrics, maintain accurate records using CRM tools, and contribute to continuous improvement of the sales process.
Candidate Requirements
Experience:
5–7 years of total experience, with at least 3–5 years in SME financing, business loans, or a related field within financial services or banking in the UAE.
Proven track record in business development and deal closure within the SME space.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
Other Must-Haves:
• Valid UAE driving license.
• Deep understanding of SME pain points and financial solutions such as receivables financing.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and digital tools.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Experience in digital lending or financing platforms is advantageous.
