We are seeking a senior legal counsel to join our regulatory affairs function in Dubai, providing business-focused guidance on crypto regulation, payments law and consumer protection in a fast-moving, cross-border environment.

Qualifications

• Approximately 9 years post-qualification experience, in-house or at a reputable law firm.
• At least 3 years focused on crypto regulation, payments law, FinTech, or financial services.
• Experience in international or cross-border regulatory analysis.
• Ability to provide business-focused legal advice on payments and consumer protection laws.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment and handle ambiguity.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (essential).
• Proficient in MS Office; Chinese language word processing.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks related to new products and services.
• Provide proactive legal and regulatory advice to enable crypto product development.
• Represent the group before regulators, financial partners, and external audiences.
• Review, update, and draft user agreements and external-facing terms and conditions.
• Work with Risk and Compliance teams to assess regulations and set company standards.
• Review and advise on external facing marketing and user content.
• Select and manage external counsels.

Requirements
