Job summary

Bybit in Dubai seeks a qualified lawyer or compliance professional to lead payments regulatory work and shape policies and licensing strategies. You will partner with Product, Operations and Legal to ensure compliant payments initiatives.

Responsibilities include onboarding reviews for partners, licensing advice, and cross‑jurisdiction regulatory coordination. A practical, global compliance mindset is essential for success in a fast‑growing digital finance platform.

Qualifications

• Law degree or equivalent with legal training.
• 3–7 years in payments/fintech or regulatory advisory.
• Strong knowledge of payments regulation and licensing.
• Translate regulatory requirements into operating models.
• Experience in multi-jurisdiction environments is a plus.

• Develop and maintain payments compliance policies and standards.
• Provide regulatory structuring support for payments setups and fund flows.
• Review onboarding of payment partners from a compliance view.
• Advise on licensing scope and regulatory permissions for payments.

• Standardise payment compliance processes across entities.
• Coordinate with external counsel and regulators on matters as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain payments compliance policies, frameworks, and internal standards.
• Provide regulatory structuring support for payments setups, partner models, and fund flows.
• Review and support onboarding of payment partners, including agreement reviews from a compliance perspective.
• Advise on licensing scope, regulatory permissions, and operational constraints for payments activities.
• Work closely with Product, Operations, and Legal to ensure payments initiatives are compliant by design.
• Support standardisation and streamlining of payments compliance processes across entities.
• Coordinate with external counsel and regulators on payments-related regulatory matters where required.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer or compliance professional with legal training, preferably called to the bar in SG, MY, UK, or HK.
• 3–7 years of experience in payments, fintech, EMI/PSP, or financial services compliance or regulatory advisory.
• Strong understanding of payments regulation, fund flows, and licensing frameworks.
• Practical mindset with ability to translate regulatory requirements into workable operating models.
• Experience in multi-jurisdiction environments is a strong plus.
