The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for visiting and regular faculty positions at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Fall 2026. The visiting faculty positions are primarily focused on teaching. Successful candidates for the regular positions will be expected to establish high-level, active research programs supported by internal and external funding sources. The visiting position is a one-year renewable contract and the regular position is a three-year renewable contract.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is one of the fastest growing departments at AUS. It has approximately 850 undergraduate students, 30 graduate students, 25 faculty and 11 lab instructors. Students and faculty represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; approximately 90 nationalities are present on campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering, a Master of Science in Machine Learning, and a joint PhD program in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
