A leading company in the UAE is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist responsible for managing regulatory compliance and product registrations in the food and consumer goods sector. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication skills in Arabic and English. This role involves liaising with regulatory authorities and maintaining compliance standards across the UAE and GCC regions.

Job description

Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

Experience: 3-5 years in regulatory affairs or compliance, preferably in food, beverage, or consumer goods industries.

Language Skills: Proficiency in Arabic and English communication skills are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage product registration, regulatory compliance, and trademark portfolios across regions including the UAE and GCC.
  2. Review, approve, and register new products; update existing artworks with relevant authorities such as ShjMun, Ajman Mun, Dubai Exports, ESMA, MOE, and others.
  3. Liaise with authorities in the GCC region, including meetings with SFDA in Riyadh and Dammam, KSA.
  4. Coordinate export certificates, sample submissions, shelf-life extensions, and foodstuff destruction procedures.
  5. Work with external auditors, participate in technical meetings, and follow up on corrective actions.
  6. Update standards and specifications from GSO and ensure compliance with food laws.
  7. Translate and draft official correspondence in English and Arabic.
  8. Build and maintain relationships with municipal and regulatory authorities.
  9. Support management in organizational challenges related to regulatory affairs.

Additional Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, regulatory portals, project management, and knowledge of marketing principles and packaging requirements.
