Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license to practice with the applicable health authority.
• Maintain ongoing professional re-licensure as required.
• Hold a valid American Heart Association BLS Provider card.
• Be willing to work across departments when needed.
• Communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and families, and offer emotional support.
• Assess needs and implement/monitor the medical plan with the care team.
• Perform systematic patient assessments and data collection.
• Analyze assessment data and determine nursing issues.
• Define expected outcomes of planned care.
• Develop and review care plans with the interprofessional team.
• Record vital signs and escalate any abnormalities.
• Maintain and update nursing skills and know-how.
• Promote patient health and a safe environment.
• Understand diagnostic tests and lab examinations.
• Perform essential life support per regulatory scope (BLS/PALS/ACLS/NALS).
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Administer IV fluids or blood products and monitor reactions.
• Provide wound care management.
• Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures as needed.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge securely.
