Job description

Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager MEA will maximize the exposure of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) franchised and managed hotels across all brands within their territory. Their focus will be on developing sales opportunities, managing customer accounts, and contributing to the hotels' success in the region(s). They will create opportunities to manage and develop existing Regional Accounts while also developing new business accounts across all market segments to drive revenue for a designated set of hotels. This role requires a proactive sales approach, partnering with clients and travel intermediaries to deliver incremental revenue and increase market share for the hotels, franchise partners, and WHR. They will aim to meet or exceed annual revenue goals by managing their client portfolio through:

  • Devising and implementing sales plans for top clients.
  • Negotiating and contracting rates for key clients across all segments within the designated region.
  • Managing group leads and RFP solicitations via Wyndham Sales Systems.
  • Achieving targets based on revenue, room nights, RFP acceptances, and other relevant metrics.
  • Conducting an average of 25+ sales appointments or calls monthly.

Responsibilities

Sales Account Management & New Business Development

Identify and secure new accounts within the territory, building robust pipeline plans with revenue and room night targets by segment, including:

  • Corporate Transient Business (RFP & TMC)
  • Group / MICE Business (GSO Sales Leads)
  • Leisure groups & FIT (Tour Operators & Agencies)

Develop strategic partnerships with key leisure Tour Operators, Corporate Clients, Travel Agencies, and MICE Companies to drive business. Organize and participate in client-facing activities such as sales missions, workshops, and trade shows, representing WHR at industry events and maintaining active memberships in relevant associations.

Hotel Engagement

Work closely with franchise and management partners to understand their needs, visiting hotels in the territory and educating them on WHR’s tools.

Internal Relationships & Systems

Collaborate across WHR units to ensure success, supporting colleagues and utilizing business tools effectively to meet goals.

Self-Development

Continuously enhance knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and prepare for additional responsibilities.

Complexity

  • Drive significant revenue into the WHR portfolio within the territory.
  • Manage accounts independently within the specified region.
  • Work remotely with minimal supervision, managing new and existing accounts.

Scope / Financial Responsibility

Responsible for a portfolio of accounts and business development, with individual revenue targets and participation in incentive plans. Manage expenses within budgets, reviewing costs and ROI for trips and marketing activities, and submitting monthly expense reports.

Experience / Certificates / Education

  • College/University Degree or equivalent, preferably in hospitality or a related field.
  • Extensive hotel sales experience (property, national, or global).
  • Multi-segment knowledge preferred.
  • Full local driving license preferred.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with hospitality sales systems.
