Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business, law, technology or related discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.
• Professional certification such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CBCP, IRM, FRM, PMP or equivalent is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Design, maintain and embed a MEA Operational Risk Management Framework aligned with standards and local requirements.
• Lead UAE implementation roadmap for UAE regulatory requirements including milestones, dependencies, deliverables, evidence and remediation actions.
• Maintain UAE regulatory obligations register and evidence matrix, supporting mapping across MEA jurisdictions.
• Promote governance, reporting lines, delegated authority and Three Lines of Defence across MEA.
• Facilitate risk and control self-assessments, process risk reviews and thematic assessments with second-line oversight.
• Oversee the quality and completeness of risk registers with risks, controls, owners, actions and dates.
• Monitor regional/local risk profiles against risk appetite and identify emerging risks.
• Support owners in identifying and evidencing operational risks and controls without displacing first-line accountability.
• Develop and maintain minimum control standards and support documentation of controls.
• Coordinate incident, loss event and near-miss reporting with root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Develop and monitor KRIs, thresholds and early-warning measures with escalation tracking.
• Prepare dashboards, committee papers and regulatory reporting on risk profile changes, controls, incidents and resilience.
• Identify critical operations for UAE resilience, map dependencies, set impact tolerance and plan remediation.
• Partner with BC, Technology and Cybersecurity to align continuity and resilience testing with local requirements.
• Monitor resilience vulnerabilities and ensure remediation is owned and tracked.
• Provide second-line oversight of outsourcing and third-party risks across due diligence, onboarding and monitoring.
• Promote consistent third-party risk standards across MEA.
• Ensure third-party exposures are reflected in risk registers and reporting.
• Build strong relationships across MEA functions to deliver UAE regulatory programmes.
• Facilitate risk workshops and awareness to strengthen first-line ownership.
• Act as trusted advisor to the CRO translating regulatory requirements into practical actions.
• Support regulatory reviews and audits coordinating responses and maintaining an audit trail.
