Shield AI in the Middle East is seeking a senior communications lead to drive earned media and regional storytelling. You will partner with global teams to elevate the brand among defense, technology and governmental audiences, with a focus on the UAE and GCC markets.

The role requires crafting regional narratives, managing executive communications and developing strategies for major exhibitions and events in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of communications experience in defense, aerospace, government or tech sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
• Native Arabic speaker with fluent English and strong storytelling skills.
• Experience with content development, media relations, executive communications and issues management.
• Proven track record securing earned media in Middle East markets (UAE, KSA, Qatar).
• Deep understanding of GCC defense/government landscape.
• Strong analytical skills; identify brand opportunities and assess risks.
• Experience working across cross-cultural teams and managing stakeholders.
• Autonomy to manage projects, deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in AI, autonomy and defense technology.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow Shield AI's earned media footprint in the Middle East, building relationships with defense, tech and business journalists.
• Develop and execute proactive media strategies tied to product milestones, contracts and partnerships for regional audiences.
• Serve as regional media contact, handling inquiries and reactive communications.
• Prepare executives for media interviews; manage press logistics and on-site media events.
• Monitor news and industry trends relevant to Shield AI.
