Job description

STRUCTURAL integrates technology-driven solutions with specialty contracting services to improve, protect, and enhance the existing infrastructure of owners directly, and in partnership with designers and contractors. STRUCTURAL offers a wide range of specialty repair and maintenance services and is the largest concrete repair contractor in the United States, with roughly 2,500 employees working across the USA and select international markets. STRUCTURAL has been established in the Middle East since 2008 and has offices/operations in UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Qatar, KSA, and operates in both Commercial and Industrial markets.

We are currently recruiting for a Regional HSE Manager to be primarily based in our Dubai office with regular travel to Abu Dhabi and KSA. As the Regional HSE Manager, you will lead our HSE operations in the UAE and KSA, promoting our 24/7 Safety Culture, providing technical expertise, supporting project planning, building relationships with operational leaders, and managing incident processes.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  1. Leading and coordinating safety training for general and project-specific needs, including safety requirements, hazard monitoring, and safe work practices.
  2. Conducting safety assessments to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  3. Reviewing processes during incident investigations and recommending corrective actions.
  4. Performing root-cause analyses and implementing solutions.
  5. Analyzing occupational accident and hazard data.
  6. Participating as a Subject Matter Expert in project pre-planning.
  7. Developing and implementing complex EHS plans.
  8. Managing and mentoring safety personnel and project engineers.
  9. Visiting projects and developing field relationships.
  10. Leading safety initiatives, incident investigations, and safety recognition programs.
  11. Facilitating safety programs like the STRUCTURAL Safety Champion.
  12. Collaborating with project teams to identify and solve safety challenges.
  13. Drafting project-specific safety plans for client submission.
  14. Building regional safety process consistency and sharing best practices.
  15. Reporting safety metrics and responding to incidents and regulatory inspections.

Candidate criteria include:

  • ISO 45001 (IRCA) and NEBOSH certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Construction, or related fields preferred.
  • 15+ years in construction safety management, with regional experience and knowledge of local regulations.
  • Proficiency in English and computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and safety-related software.
  • Experience with claims management, safety audits, and working for a self-performing contractor.
