We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Geologist to join our client Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the UAE’s stratigraphy and depositional settings, with a specific focus on Middle Eastern carbonate geology. The role involves assisting with ongoing regional / play studies, requiring proficiency in regional interpretation and a deep understanding of carbonate reservoirs.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct regional / play studies focusing on Middle Eastern carbonate geology.
• Provide expert interpretation of stratigraphy and depositional settings.
• Utilize basin modeling techniques to enhance understanding of petroleum systems.
• Rank prospects and evaluate their potential using industry-standard methodologies.
• Apply MEGACELL concept expertise to optimize exploration strategies.

Requirements :

• Ph.D. in Geology or related field is preferred, Bachelor’s / master’s degree is essential.
• Extensive experience in regional interpretation, preferably in the Middle East.
• Proficiency in basin modeling techniques.
• Strong understanding of prospect ranking methodologies.
• Familiarity with the MEGACELL concept is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
