Job summary

A leading consultancy firm in Dubai is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee financial controls, manage treasury accounting, and strengthen internal controls across African markets. Candidates should have a CA qualification and 12-15 years of experience in the Beverages or FMCG sector. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • 12-15 years of experience in Beverages or FMCG, preferably with exposure to Africa.
  • Experience in FMCG, Food, or Beverages sectors preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-country/cross-cultural environment.

Job description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position will oversee Financial Controls, Harmonise Processes, Strengthen internal controls, oversee cash management, standardise Insurance coverage, and manage audit and risk processes for all African markets.

  1. Manage daily treasury accounting and supervise AR & AP accounting.
  2. Ensure Factory Gate control of goods/assets movement.
  3. Oversee Store Accounting (MIGO/MIRO), material issuance to production, and SAP accounting.
  4. Handle production accounting, W.I.P, finished goods, yield analysis, and control.
  5. Maintain strong relationships with banks, coordinate routine banking operations, and maximize retail auctions.
  6. Review daily fund planning and ensure implementation.
  7. Verify banking, AP, and AR entries in SAP and perform monthly debtor and creditor reconciliations.
  8. Conduct daily bank reconciliations.
  9. Review and approve payments, ensuring correct settlement of invoices.
  10. Provide inputs for annual budgeting and FY-end forecasts to the reporting team.
  11. Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records and statements monthly to support business decisions.
  12. Ensure proper accounting of capital expenditure and perform variance analysis.
  13. Report actual cash outflows and variances.
  14. Generate various monthly MIS reports.
  15. Implement and monitor internal control systems.
  16. Manage insurance coverage for assets.
  17. Ensure compliance with local laws.
  18. Coordinate and support plant, commercial, and admin teams as needed.

Skill, Qualification, and Experience

  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Mandatory)
  • CA qualification required (Non-CA or CMA candidates will not be considered)
  • Experience working in a multi-country/cross-cultural environment
  • Working knowledge of Power BI
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • 12-15 years of experience in Beverages or FMCG, preferably with exposure to Africa
