As a finance leader, you will be expected to push a high control environment, drive innovation in both the business and finance processes, perform financial evaluation of programs and initiatives, lead business performance reviews, and provide a long-term vision for creating successful businesses that deliver strong financial performance without compromising customer experience and trust.

In this role, you will be expected to build relationships with Senior Business Leaders, Program owners, and WW and Regional Finance leaders. You will take the finance lead for all initiatives, planning processes, and metrics for periodic reviews, keeping customer experience front and center. You will drive cost-out initiatives across the value chain, help the business meet growth targets, benchmark performance, and establish plans and forecasts.

You will continuously audit business inputs and processes to ensure robust financial controls, dive deep into business aspects to drive improvements, and utilize data and strong business judgment for long-term decision-making.

You will lead the development of tools for insightful analysis and reporting, extract insights from large data volumes, and communicate effectively with your business partners on actions based on these insights. Collaboration with senior leadership in the region and interaction with Finance teams across other Emerging Stores and functions like Accounting and FP&A are expected.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, be a creative and analytical problem solver, and possess strong leadership skills in stakeholder management and results delivery. Amazon encourages open communication about flexible arrangements.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Act as a finance business partner for the country and new programs.
  2. Lead regional planning and performance reviews.
  3. Create models to manage growth and profitability, and hold teams accountable for KPIs.
  4. Provide insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  5. Deliver accurate financial reporting to senior management.
  6. Represent Finance in MBRs and QBRs with performance narratives.
  7. Analyze initiatives, identify learnings, and share with teams.
  8. Work on attribution models for spend allocation.
  9. Build processes, tools, and dashboards to support decision-making.
  10. Exercise judgment on data limitations and synthesize findings effectively.
  11. Collaborate with product managers to influence program requirements and decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in finance or related analytical fields.
  • Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in applying KPIs to analyses.
  • Experience in building financial and operational reports and data sets.
  • Background in process improvements, automation, and analysis.
  • Participation in continuous improvement projects with measurable results.
  • Proven ability to solve complex business challenges with financial models and analysis.
  • MBA or CPA qualification.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL, experience with large-scale data tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos), and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.
