Job summary

NADIA Recruitment & Management Consultants in Dubai seeks a Regional Director to lead an overseas NGO's Middle East operations and shape the regional strategy. The role focuses on helping companies expand in UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and across MENA while navigating local regulations.

You will build strong partnerships, provide market intelligence, oversee events and missions, and lead a local team to deliver on departmental objectives. Fluency in cross-cultural communication is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in international business development with NGOs/Trade commissions/Chambers of Commerce/business councils.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Middle East operations with a remit to create and develop a strategy in line with the corporate vision.
• Provide in-market expertise to help companies expand their businesses in UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and other countries within MENA.
• Navigate the local regulatory environment and develop opportunities across different sectors.
• Monitor the business environment and provide up-to-date market intelligence to companies to help advance their businesses in the Middle East.
• Establish, maintain, and cultivate strategic contacts and partnerships to generate leads and for business matching across sectors.
• Identify and secure revenue through partnership, programs and relevant services
• Provide advisory and market knowledge to support companies' internationalization plans
• Develop country market briefs providing insights into market trends, business opportunities, key developments, and market-entry strategies to support senior management, stakeholders, and companies.
• Oversee and execute events, seminars, and in-market business missions to achieve departmental objectives, generate qualified business leads, and facilitate high-quality networking opportunities for participating companies.

Our client an overseas NGO who provide consultancy services to businesses wishing to develop business within the region have a vacancy for a Regional Director based in their Dubai Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Middle East operations with a remit to create and develop a strategy in line with the corporate vision.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience in international business development with NGOs/Trade commissions/Chambers of Commerce/business councils.
• Good relations with an extensive local contact of private companies across sectors, chambers, associations and government (bonus) in the region a must
• Knowledge of industry landscape, business practices and ecosystem a must
• Ability to handle cross-cultural differences and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Preferably Arabic speaking
• Strong business development, process management, and negotiation skills
• Experience in program development and management will be advantageous
• Mix of both govt/ chamber and private sector experience will be advantageous
• Excellent leadership skills and a hands-on approach
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a team leader.
