We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Category Buyer to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing category buying strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring the availability of high-quality and trend-driven fashion products. This role demands a deep understanding of the regional market, fashion trends, and consumer preferences to drive commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy: Develop and implement buying strategies for the assigned fashion category in line with business goals and market trends.
  • Product Selection: Identify, source, and procure fashion products that align with brand positioning and customer demand.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to ensure a competitive product mix.
  • Inventory Planning: Work closely with merchandising and planning teams to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce overstock/understock risks.
  • Pricing & Profitability: Define pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability, considering market demand and cost structures.
  • Sales Performance: Track and analyze sales data, identifying opportunities for growth and areas requiring improvement.
  • Collaboration: Partner with marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure successful product launches and promotional campaigns.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all sourced products meet the required quality standards and brand guidelines.
  • Seasonal Buying: Plan and execute seasonal buying cycles, attending trade fairs, fashion shows, and supplier meetings to source innovative collections.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in fashion buying, category management, or merchandising, preferably in the Middle East market.
  • Strong knowledge of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape in the UAE/GCC region.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, inventory management, and forecasting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple categories simultaneously.
  • Experience in both brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce environments is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for supplier visits, trade shows, and market research.
