The Recruiter will be an integral part of our dynamic recruitment team, responsible for managing and supporting key multinational and large accounts. This role operates in a fast-paced and highly competitive market, requiring quick thinking and decisive action. You will oversee recruitment for various levels and roles across the events industry, delivering efficient hiring solutions by identifying and attracting top talent.
To succeed in this role, you should be a results-driven professional with 3-5 years of recruitment experience, including at least 1 year in the events industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Sourcing and Database Management
- Build a robust database of local and international candidates in anticipation of projected hiring needs.
- Develop recruitment strategies and build relationships with potential candidates.
- Collaborate with Head of Recruitment to design and implement targeted attraction plans.
- Utilize LinkedIn, references, social media, and other channels to source and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
- Advertise job vacancies on job boards and manage incoming applications.
- Actively source candidates through various channels, including direct outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Screen, interview, and match candidates to suitable job opportunities.
- Maintain a CV-to-interview ratio of 2:1, ensuring high-quality candidate submissions.
End-to-End Recruitment for Clients
- Manage the full recruitment process for assigned roles and clients, from initial inquiry to post-placement follow-up.
- Sourcing for both freelance contract hires and permanent roles.
- Gather detailed job requirements and salary expectations from the client, ensuring we receive the full brief to pass this over to potential candidates.
- Shortlist CVs to meet client specifications, ensuring high-quality submissions.
- Deliver recruitment assignments within budget and client expectations.
- Provide an outstanding candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Lead offer discussions and facilitate candidate closures.
- Manage candidates throughout their engagement with the client.
Candidate Relationship Management
- Maintain regular contact with placed freelancers and active candidates.
- Provide detailed job briefings, including client insights, interview preparation, and role expectations.
- Verify candidates’ eligibility to work, ensuring proper documentation (Visa, EID, etc.).
- Conduct reference checks for shortlisted candidates and final selections.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a key point of contact for clients while supporting the Line Manager in managing major accounts.
- Support interim and contract recruitment efforts within the events sector.
- Strengthen client engagement through relationship-building and strategic recruitment planning.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies for specialized roles.
- Uphold best recruitment practices and enhance brand awareness.
Administration and Reporting
- Regularly update Line Manager on candidate pipeline progress.
- Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Work collaboratively within Recruitment team and other departments
- Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue targets.
- Continuously assess and optimize sourcing channels using data analytics.
- Establish relationships with external agencies to support candidate sourcing.
Skills and Attributes:
- Experienced Recruiter with a strong background in direct sourcing and candidate experience.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment trends and market dynamics.
- Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times.
- Expertise in designing and executing recruitment plans with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of various assessment methods, including interviews and event-related hiring.
- Independent yet collaborative approach, knowing when to escalate critical issues.
Person Specification:
- Extensive recruitment experience in the events industry.
- Proven success in hiring for large-scale events.
- Strong account management experience, preferably with international exposure.
- Commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze data and produce accurate reports.
- Proficiency in project management.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Fluency in English (additional languages such as Arabic are a plus).
- A degree is beneficial but not required.
