Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of all duties. Anantara employees continuously find new ways to enhance the business, guest experience, and teamwork. The key responsibilities for this position include:

  1. Oversee the smooth operation of the Sports & Recreations department daily to ensure the highest guest satisfaction.
  2. Create unique and engaging recreational activities that highlight local culture, sports, or other offerings, positioning the department as a competitive advantage. Ensure quality of outsourced services.
  3. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s products and services.
  4. Implement health and safety standards in all sports and leisure activities, with special attention to children's safety.
  5. Lead the Anantara Children programme.
  6. Ensure all activities are conducted safely using proper techniques.
  7. Train and evaluate fitness attendants, supervise instructors and activity staff, ensuring qualified personnel are used where required (e.g., Fitness leader, Lifeguard).
  8. Monitor activity program success through participation rates and guest feedback; adjust programs to ensure they remain high quality, fun, and original.
  9. Coordinate with the Concierge to inform guests about available events and activities.
  10. Collaborate with the Spa department to promote spa services, enhancing guest satisfaction and revenue.
  11. Foster a positive working environment across departments.
  12. Manage staffing levels according to activity schedules and guest demographics.
  13. Ensure proper financial procedures when handling fees for Sports & Recreations activities.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  15. Prepare the annual departmental budget and drive revenue growth.
