Job summary

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort in Ras Al Khaimah seeks a dedicated recreation professional to support the sports and leisure program, ensuring guest enjoyment and safety across all activities.

You will lead engaging activities, supervise qualified attendants, maintain equipment, and collaborate with other departments to maximise guest satisfaction and hotel revenue while upholding Minor Hotels standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in recreation.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and able to assist guests professionally.
• Knowledge of basic safety procedures and the ability to respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and participate in or supervise recreational activities.
• Ability to work effectively with other staff members.
• Excellent English; additional languages can be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of recreational equipment and facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the smooth running of the Sports & Recreations department to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Create new, unique and interesting activities that draw upon the best cultural, sporting or other offerings of the area; help make the sports and leisure offering competitive.
• Lead the implementation of health and safety codes in sports and leisure activities; care of children.
• Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.
• Use qualified attendants in all areas where relevant qualifications are required.
• Monitor the success of activities programs via participation and guest feedback; adjust to maintain top quality and engagement.
• Work with Minor Hotels Concierge to clearly inform guests about offered events.
