Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in the UAE seeks a Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in reconstructive ophthalmology to diagnose and manage complex oculoplastic conditions and perform reconstructive surgeries in a leading Abu Dhabi healthcare facility.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintain records per DOH regulations, and participate in CME; minimum 5–7 years post-specialist experience required. Board certification is essential.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board Certification / Fellowship in Ophthalmology with subspecialty training in Oculoplastic/Reconstructive Ophthalmology.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Ophthalmology.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialist experience in reconstructive ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery.
• Expertise in advanced reconstructive and orbital surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage ophthalmic and periocular disorders needing reconstructive/oculoplastic intervention.
• Perform eyelid reconstruction, lacrimal, orbital surgeries, trauma reconstruction, and functional eyelid procedures.
• Manage patients with orbital diseases, eyelid malpositions, tumors, facial trauma, and tear drainage disorders.
• Provide outpatient and inpatient ophthalmology consultations.
• Collaborate with ENT, maxillofacial, plastic surgery, oncology, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records per DOH regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement, research, audits, and CME.
