Job description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Register and process check-ins for all arrivals.
  2. Handle guest check-outs efficiently and professionally.
  3. Update guest information into the computer after check-in.
  4. Manage cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audits, and settlement upon guest departure.
  5. Handle walk-in reservations and process call-in reservations when the reservations section is closed.
  6. Provide friendly and courteous service to guests and respond promptly to all requests and inquiries.
  7. Resolve guest complaints/requests and liaise with relevant departments for immediate follow-up.
  8. Handle issuance of guest room key cards and ensure effective control for guest security.
  9. Check and convey messages, mail, and packages to guests.
  10. Assist at the Information counter, Foreign Exchange, Night Audit, and Business Centre as assigned.
  11. Have knowledge of hotel rate codes, packages, segmentation, discounts, and handling procedures.
  12. Handle safe deposit boxes according to policies and procedures.
  13. Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager.
  14. Be aware of hotel accident prevention policies.
  15. Ensure the cleanliness and neatness of the front office area.
  16. Greet all guests on arrival and departure.
  17. Review logbooks, verify outstanding items, and follow up on pending issues.
  18. Monitor hotel situation, occupancy, functions, groups, and VIPs.
  19. Communicate all relevant information to the next shift for smooth operations.
  20. Prepare for daily arrivals, including room allocations, amenities, and guest requests.
  21. Maintain contact with hotel guests to ensure issues are handled efficiently and courteously.
  22. Review and update the logbook regularly.
  23. Check equipment regularly.
  24. Maintain a professional appearance and friendly disposition at all times.
  25. Oversee day-to-day operations.
  26. Report regularly on happenings to the Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager.
  27. Follow fire procedures and first aid procedures.
  28. Handle guest complaints and report to the manager.

Qualifications:

University Degree in Hotel Management with minimum 1 year experience in a similar role at a star hotel.

Required Languages: English, Russian, German, Arabic.
