Job description

Job Requirements

A Receptionist provides reception services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required.

As a Receptionist, you will:

  • Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for Guests, including check-in/out, and complete audit procedures as required
  • Keep the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors fully informed of relevant guest feedback and feedback from other departments
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times
  • Attend appropriate training courses and assist with the Night Team's training and development efforts
  • Have knowledge of hotel room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and general product knowledge necessary for daily duties
  • Maximize room occupancy and promote hotel services and facilities using up-selling techniques
  • Follow correct procedures for accepting foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash according to hotel credit policies
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Operate front of house equipment and property management systems in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Follow company brand standards
  • Assist other departments as necessary
Work Experience

To succeed as a Hilton brand Receptionist, you should demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused industry
  • High school certificate or equivalent
  • A positive attitude and good communication skills
  • A commitment to high-quality customer service
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in IT

Experience in cash handling is advantageous.
