ABOUT THE ROLE

The jobholder is responsible for answering calls in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner, creating a positive first impression of DHL, transferring calls to the right extensions, and taking messages for the employees not available. The jobholder is also responsible for meeting DHL Customers/Guests upon arrival and directing them to appropriate locations.

YOUR TASKS

  1. Meet and greet customers/guests upon arrival and check in guests or direct them to appropriate locations.
  2. Ensure that the telephone is answered in a timely and professional manner as per DHL standards and calls are transferred to the appropriate department/staff to project a professional image to both internal and external customers at all times.
  3. Provide a high level of customer service and professionalism, considering that all DHL customers have an express requirement and are looking for instant and immediate action.
  4. Follow customer service procedures as outlined in the manual to comply with the ISO procedures and safe working practices.
  5. Maintain thorough knowledge of all departments and DHL network in order to always supply correct and accurate information to customers, both internal and external.
  6. Assist with any administration requests or reports as requested.
  7. Support and cover the incentive coordinator in their absence.
  8. Support in NPA First Calls to enhance the customer experience on DHL Service.
  9. Support in answering call center calls if needed.
  10. Assist walk-in customers at the service point if needed.
  11. Provide continuous improvement initiatives and suggestions to improve the reception process.

YOUR PROFILE

  1. Sound educational background with knowledge of the service industry is an advantage.
  2. Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
  3. Typing speed of a minimum of 30 words a minute; passion for delighting customers.
  4. Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  5. Good relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  6. Working knowledge of MS Office packages.
  7. Team player.
