Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is currently seeking a School Receptionist. This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly successful Aldar family of schools and to help shape the future of Abu Dhabi’s leading school group.

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi sits at the entrance to Saadiyat’s emerging Cultural District in keeping with the school’s motto, ‘Ex Cultu Robur’ – ‘From Culture Comes Strength’. Built over seven hectares, the bespoke campus is situated within minutes of New York University Abu Dhabi and the beautiful Saadiyat Beach, as well as the magnificent Louvre Abu Dhabi and the vibrant Berklee College of Music.

The School Receptionist is expected to support the smooth running of the School, in particular the Senior Management Teams. Receptionists are expected to reflect the ethos of the school through their willingness to help out with administrative tasks as laid out in, but not limited to, the tasks below.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for enquiries and telephone calls coming into the school.
  • Assist with updating the school’s databases, including the parental messaging system.
  • Ensure that messages are passed appropriately to members of staff and children.
  • Meet and greet visitors and parents ensuring a warm welcome.
  • Assist with the preparation, distribution and mailing of written communication from the Head,
  • Deputy Head and staff to parents and the wider community.
  • Answer electronic mail efficiently and accurately.
  • Update and maintain the school's daily register including logging it on eSIS
  • Assist in maintaining the School’s daily fire register including signing in/out of students and staff.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the School’s missing child and emergency response policies.
  • Liaison between the School’s third-party service providers and parents.
  • Issue temporary guardian passes via the Evotix system after verifying the guardian’s details.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

  • Degree in Business Administration (Desirable)
  • A university/college degree is an asset
  • Certificate in Business Administration or related (essential)


Minimum Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-focused role
  • Experience in the education field (Desirable)


Job Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Fluent in English Communications skills, written, and oral
  • Arabic speaker is preferable
  • Strong interpersonal skills to aid in daily contact with parents in a diverse multicultural environment
  • Excellent office management skills
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children
  • Respect for all members of a school community.
  • An excellent telephone manner is required along with a discrete personable temperament.
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
